Narrative Review

A narrative review brings together what has already been published on a topic and presents it as one clear account. You set the scope, read widely within it, and organise the evidence so a reader can understand the subject without working through every paper themselves.

The skills a narrative review asks for are the ones every later paper depends on: searching the literature properly, reading it critically, and summarising what you find without losing accuracy.

We begin with how the different review article types differ, so you know which one your topic calls for. From there we work through choosing your scope, building the search, and shaping what you read into a clear line of argument. The manuscript is then written with you, section by section, and prepared for submission.
